It's A Hit!

After Wil comes out as a trans boy, his dad wants him to have the experiences he loved - including baseball camp. Wil doesn't know anything about baseball, but Taylor, the athletic son of queer moms, is determined that Wil get a hit before the summer ends.

Wil never expected to end up at baseball camp instead of his beloved theater camp with all his nerdy friends. When he came out as trans, his well-meaning father was so excited to share his own boyhood love of baseball that Wil didn’t have the heart to say no. Taylor looks forward to camp every summer, eager to get on the pitching mound and be immersed in his favorite sport. He feels a disconnect between his flamboyant, queer family and the sporty community he thrives in. During camp, Wil and Taylor connect over family, growing up, and geeking out about the things they enjoy.  Together, they realize that they can define their masculinity on their own terms and find ways to connect with their families while still being themselves.

Arin Cole Barth (they/them) is a white, autistic, agender, queer person who lives in Longmont, Colorado with their partner, Marika. Born and raised in Colorado, they're a devoted Rockies fan, and enjoy scoring games, but are too superstitious to actually buy a jersey. When not watching baseball, Arin enjoys cooking, playing Dungeons & Dragons, road trips, and queering the medical field.

Marika Barth (they/them) is a white, autistic, trans butch who has lived all over. They spent many of their formative years near Heidelberg, Germany, and now live in Longmont, Colorado with both of their partners. They value interdependency and caretaking. A lifelong nerd, Marika adores Star Trek, reading, card games, and grew up immersed in community theater.
